Tonje Hessen Schei – Director
Tonje is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who has worked with independent documentary production since 1996. Her films focus on human rights, the environment and social justice. Tonje directed and produced PLAY AGAIN and INDEPENDENT INTERVENTION, both of which have won several international awards. The films have been screened on all continents in over 100 countries, and are used by schools and universities globally.
In the U.S., Tonje worked for ENG (Electronic New Group, LA) and she was co-distributor and the researcher for documentaries All Power to the People! (1997) and Downwinders (2000). In Norway, she worked for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK (2005-2006). Tonje was the festival director of Human Rights Human Wrongs (2011), Scandinavia’s sole documentary film festival that focuses only on human rights. Tonje started Ground Productions in 2005, an international documentary production company based in Portland, OR, USA and Oslo, Norway.
Lars Løge – ProducerLars is the main producer at Flimmer Film AS. He has produced 18 documentaries and several documentary series. In addition he has done line production for Discover Channel, Co-Produced a feature fiction Film with Finland (Garbage Prince, 2011), a documentary with Sweden (Raya, NRK/SVT, 2010) and secured international financing and sales for 4 documentaries/series. Lars is a board member of the Norwegian Producers Union, representing documentary and the regions, and chairman of the western Norwegian branch of the union. He is also a board member and currently decision maker for the Southern Norwegian Film Center.
Jonathan Borge Lie – ProducerJonathan has worked in television production for Eyeworks Dinamo. He was the program manager at the Norwegian Documentary Film Festival (2010) and was part of the Gullruten Jury for Best Television Documentary (2010). Jonathan was program manager for the Oslo Documentary Cinema, where he has hosted documentary festival Gentle Actions (2010) and Human Rights Human Wrongs (2011). He was the festival director of Human Rights Human Wrongs (2012).
Anna Myking – Director of PhotographyAnna is an award-winning cinematographer. She is a pioneer in the Norwegian film industry as the first female fiction film cinematographer. She has experience within both fiction film, TV series and documentary, both feature length and series. In 2011 she shot Happy, which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance the same year.
Joakim Schager – Film EditorJoakim is a Swedish editor with a degree from Stockholms Filmskola and Nordic Institute of Stage and Studio in Oslo in 2008. Joakim has worked with some of the most reputable directors in Norway, with experience editing feature fiction films, music videos, documentary-series and TV-entertainment. He edited the critically acclaimed political documentaryseries “Til bords med fienden” – “Dining with the enemy” that won the price for “Best specialist genre programme or series” at the AIB Awards in London in 2012.
Olav Øyehaug – Composer
Olav has worked with film music and sound design since 2004. His latest work on “Fjorden Cowboys” is nominated for the Gullruten award. Olav is also a musician playing with the Kanossa Gang. Listen to the soundtrack.
